Honoring Our Healthcare Heroes: Nursing Excellence & Partners in Practice

As part of our National Nurses’ Week celebration, Jason Rosenberg, MHBH Chief Nursing Officer, had the honor of surprising four exceptional care team members with Nursing Excellence and Partners in Practice Awards—an inspiring moment filled with pride and gratitude.

The MHBH Nursing Excellence Award celebrates nurses who embody passion, integrity, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to MaineHealth values. This year’s outstanding recipients are:

Emma Taylor, RN, MHBH Assertive Community Treatment Team

Her nominator shared, “Emma goes above and beyond to ensure ACT Team patients receive the highest quality care. She’s defined the role of a community-based RN, offering expert consultation and mentoring new nurses with dedication and heart. Her compassion and professionalism shine every day.”

Her nominators wrote, “Rose delivers compassionate, patient-centered care and uplifts her peers. She leads by example, collaborates thoughtfully, and consistently raises the bar. No one deserves this award more—she’s a true inspiration!”

The MHBH Partners in Practice Award honors the vital contributions of nursing partners, including assistants and technicians, who bring skill, compassion, and teamwork to every patient interaction. This year’s celebrated recipients are:

Jessie Stewart, Psychiatric Technician III, MHBH at Spring Harbor, 2 East Unit

Her nominators said, “Jessie’s experience with developmental disorders shines through. She’s innovative, supportive, and always ready to help with grace and a smile. Her dedication makes a real difference.”
